Trusting God!

Title: Trusting God in Every Season

Scripture: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

If I could sum up my life’s journey in one verse, it would be Proverbs 3:5-6. These words have anchored my soul through seasons of joy, heartache, and unimaginable trials. They were especially close to my heart during my recent battle with leukemia — a season of darkness that I write about in my book, Still, I Will Sing!

When the doctor’s words shook my world, when treatments left me weak and alone in a hospital room for weeks on end, this promise remained my steady ground: Trust in the LORD with all your heart. I didn’t understand why I had to walk that road. I couldn’t lean on my own reasoning to make sense of the suffering. But each time fear crept in, I chose to trust the One who holds my future.

As I look back, I see how faithful God has been to direct my path. Even in the valley, He never left me. He carried me through every sleepless night, every painful treatment, every tear. And now, I sing — not because my life is free from trouble or unexpexted trials, but because my God has proven trustworthy in every circumstance.

Maybe today you’re standing at a crossroads. Maybe you’re facing uncertainty, pain, or questions that don’t have easy answers. Let me encourage you: You don’t have to understand everything to trust God completely. Surrender your understanding to Him and acknowledge Him in every area of your life. He promises to direct your path — even when the road ahead seems hidden.

Friend, my prayer for you today is simple: May you find the same unshakable hope I have found in the One who never fails. May you trust Him with all your heart — because He is worthy.

Reflection:

Where are you tempted to lean on your own understanding today? Take a moment to surrender it to God and ask Him to guide you step by step.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust You fully. Even when I don’t understand, teach me to lean on You and not myself. Direct my steps today and every day. Amen.

Stay encouraged and remember: No matter what, Still, I Will Sing!

In Hope,
