Introduction - My Story

Thank you for visiting this new ministry website! I am honored that you have decided to join me in this journey and read my very first blog post. I am new to this world of blogging but I look forward to learning and growing and figuring out how to best offer hope, inspiration and encouragement to my followers.

This new ministry was inspired by my new book Still, I Will Sing! I am thankful for the opportunity to finally publish my first memoir. God has been prompting me for many years to do this and it took another crisis of faith to convince me that now was the right time. During my cancer treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center I was given the gift of time while I was on disability for eleven months from my work. God helped me to use this time wisely and focus on writing and completing this memoir project. I was able to complete my initial draft in 3 months. God gave me great clarity in what he wanted me to share and how He wanted me to write it. I descibe it as a download that I received from Him and I couldn't get it on paper fast enough. There have been so many people that have supported me through this process, and I am grateful for their love and encouragement along the way.

What makes my story special or unique? Nothing really other than it is My Story! It is not any more special or unique than each of yours. But I do feel God has allowed me to face challenges that may make my story more compelling to those who hear it. My prayer is that I may connect in unique ways with others who face their own challenges and difficult trials. It is through these stories of God’s faithfulness, grace and unshakable hope that I hope to inspire and encourage each of you. Who knows, some of you may decide to write your own memoir!

I knew God would make me wait for His timing. And it was through this waiting period that He allowed me to face even more difficult circumstances that would test my faith and help me gain fresh new perspectives on who God is. It has been through my  cancer journey that God has opened my eyes to so much more. More of His faithfulness, more of His grace, more of His goodness, more of His strength and comfort, more of His miraculous healing power, and finally, more of His great love! My prayer is that I can be used by God to inspire and encourage you in your journey.

This ministry blog will be used to share encouragement, prayer, scripture and devotional thoughts with you. It may prompt more discussions and ministry opportunities that we can share together. I encourage you to read my book and sign up to receive these blogs. It is my honor to join you on this journey called life and I look forward to engaging with each of you. May God continue to bless you as you encounter His unshakable hope!
